I'm Helen, a mum to two and a step-mum to one - my three wonderful boys - I live in the UK with my children, husband and many pets.
I started Sew Sew Baby whilst on maternity leave with my youngest son and it began purely as a hobby and a forum to share my love of crochet, knitting and sewing. Although I have been knitting from a young age I didn't learn to crochet until 2012 when I decided that I wanted to make my own wedding bouquet and it was around the same time that I got back into my sewing.
I enjoy making things, especially for my boys. As my crochet skills developed I found myself altering patterns, never sticking to the instructions, always putting my own unique twist on a make (to be honest I have never been one to be told what to do so this was nothing new!). This continued to develop until I eventually started to write my own patterns. This website is my forum to share my crochet journey with you.
I have many patterns available and I am always adding to these, many are free on the website and blog and some are paid only and are available from my Etsy and Ravelry stores along with lovecrochet.com and allcrochetpatterns.net
I also have designed for Simply Crochet and Happily Hooked magazines.
I hope you enjoy your visit to Sew Sew Baby and that you join me again soon!
