This is a super easy pattern for a pretty leaf design. I came up with this design when making a leaf for a pumpkin, this was a little too big for what I wanted but is soooo pretty that I just had to let you have the pattern.
PLEASE NOTE that the instructions are given in UK terminology.
ch - chain sl st - slip stitch
sk st - skip stitch dc - double crochet
tr - treble crochet sp - stitch space
htr - half treble crochet sts - stitches
Begin with ch5, sl st to first ch to form a loop
Rnd 1: ch3, 11tr into the loop, sl st to top of ch3 to join
Rnd 2: ch3, 1tr in same sp, 2tr in each st around, sl st to top of ch3 to join
Rnd 3: (sk st, 7tr in next st, sk1st, sl st in next st) repeat 5 more times (6 in total)
Now make the stem: ch8, turn and sl st back along the ch, sl st to starting st
Rnd 4: *dc in next 4sts, (3htr, ch2, 3htr) in next st, dc in next 2 sts, sl st in next st* repeat 5 more times
Fasten off and sew in ends.
Such a quick pattern for such a pretty star shaped leaf. I hope you enjoy making this and adding it to your projects!
