Below is the quick and simple pattern for the Rainbow Coin Purse.
PLEASE NOTE my patterns are in UK terminology
Infinity Hearts Rose 8/4 100% cotton yarn in the following shades: White (02), Red (19), Orange (193), Yellow (179), Green (156), Turquoise (125), Purple (69). Available from Ritohobby.co.uk who have kindly supplied the yarn for this post.
I used a 3.5mm hook even though the yarn recommends a 2.5-3mm. I do tend to hook a little tighter than the average crocheter but I also didn't want this finished purse to be such a tight material that it stopped the fluidity of the yarn. As an idea of tension, your circle should measure 7cm in diameter after round 10 is complete.
Kiss Purse Clasp measuring 7cm in diameter.
Using UK Terminology.
Using White and 3.5mm hook, begin with a Magic Ring, ch1

Your circle should measure 7cm in diameter at this point and should be flat.
The next rounds will now turn the flat circle into a cylinder shape.
Rnds 11 - 27. dc in each st around
Now sew your cylinder onto the Kiss Clasp, you'll find that your work will sit neatly in the metal frame. You may wish to line your purse before sewing it to the clasp. This is optional and down to personal preference. Just be aware that if you choose not to line the purse then it may stretch a little purely because it is made with cotton yarn and all cotton yarn stretches.
Use my photo for guidance on adding the hand sewn decoration of a rainbow to the front of the coin purse. A simple embroidery is all you need here, you do not need to be an expert for this! The splash of colour a bright rainbow adds really gives this little coin purse the cutest finishing touch.
I hope you'll agree that this is such a quick and cute make to brighten any grey and rainy day.
